Salary / Rate: £70000 to £90000 per annum + pension, RICS fees, bonus etc.
THE ROLE
I am seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Associate Quantity Surveyor, MRICS qualified for a medium to large firm of PQS to join their London office.
This is a good opportunity for a Chartered Quantity Surveyor to join a long established and respected firm where there will be great prospects to move up to Director level.
You will work on a good range of high value hotels, residential and office projects for new build, fit out and refurbishment.
You will use both JCT and NEC forms of contract.
You will do the full range of pre and post contract work.
You will help the Director to grow the team and you should be able to supervise and mentor Assistant QSs.
This will be a client facing role delivering all stages of pre and post contract cost management (quantity surveying) services.
THE COMPANY
My client is a successful medium to large firm of construction consultants providing Quantity Surveying / Cost Management on high value projects.
They work on projects across the UK and also in the Middle East.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be a Chartered Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager at either Senior or Associate level.
You will need to be working for another firm of construction consultants (PQS) or multi disciplinary consultants in the construction industry.
You will need to have gained experience of working on UK projects.
You will have a BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar subject.
You must have worked as a QS on projects from feasibility through project delivery and handover.
At Associate level you should be happy to get involved in some business development and networking.
You will need strong contract administration knowledge in particular in the use of JCT and NEC contracts along with good cost reporting skills.
You will be conversant with all pre and post contract duties.
You must have excellent English to write formal reports and documents and have a stable work record.
Good client facing skills are essential.
Salary is negotiable around £70000 to £90000 (or slightly more) per annum according to your level of experience plus RICS fees, pension, discretionary bonus along with good prospects to move up to Director level.
