THE ROLE

I am seeking a Senior Project Manager ideally chartered with the RICS, CIOB, MAPM, MICE, RIBA etc. to join a dynamic firm of construction consultants in the City of London.

You will work on high value construction projects from feasibility through to handover with current projects valued up to £200m.

Projects include hotels, leisure, offices, residential and other commercial projects.

You will report to a Director and you will also have the opportunity to get involved in Business Development and networking along with Operational and Business management.

THE COMPANY

My client is a successful firm of construction consultants providing Quantity Surveying / Cost Management and Project Management services on large projects across the UK working from two UK offices currently.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be a Project Manager ready to step up to Senior level or already working as a Senior Project Manager.

You will need to be working for another firm of construction consultants or a firm of developers.

My client would prefer someone who is any of the following:- RICS, MAPM, RIBA, MICE or similar. You are likely to have a built environment degree or MSc too.

You must have worked as a Project Manager (in the construction industry) on projects from project set up, feasibility through project delivery and handover.

You will need to be fully conversant using JCT contracts.

You will be conversant with all pre and post contract duties as well as having experience of administering construction contracts and the Employer’s Agent role as well as full project management.

Ideally you will may have worked on refurbishment projects as well as new build.

You must have excellent English to write formal reports and documents, to chair meetings, take minutes etc.

You should be keen to get involved in high value projects and be able to work closely with clients.

Salary is negotiable according to your level of experience but will be in the range of £60000 to £90000 per annum plus pension, RICS fees, bonus and other benefits.
