THE ROLE
I am seeking a Quantity Surveyor at Project Surveyor to join a PQS in the London SE1 area.
You will work on data centres, residential, mixed use, commercial and other projects.
You should be able to run your own projects as a Project Surveyor and you will need to have gained a couple of years or more post graduation experience with a firm of PQS.
THE COMPANY
My client is a successful firm of construction consultants providing Quantity Surveying / Cost Management and Project Management services across a range of sectors.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be a Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager in the building construction industry.
You will need to be working for another firm of construction consultants (PQS) or multi disciplinary consultants in the construction industry.
You need to be working as a Project Surveyor and be able to run your own projects in conjunction with a senior surveyor.
You will have a BSc in Quantity Surveying and have gained around two years + post graduate experience working as an Assistant PQS.
You must have worked as a QS on projects from feasibility through project delivery and handover.
You will be conversant with all pre and post contract duties.
You must have excellent English to write formal reports and documents.
You are likely to be working towards taking your APC and my client will provide you with good experience to become chartered.
Salary is negotiable according to your level of experience but in the range of £40000 to £45000 or maybe slightly more and there are a range of benefits including pension, RICS fees, discretionary bonus along with good ongoing training and prospects and other benefits.
