Salary / Rate: £40000 to £55000 per annum + pension, RICS fees, bonus etc.
THE ROLE
I am seeking either an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or a recently chartered QS to join a dynamic firm of PQS in Birmingham.
You will work on new build, refurbishment, fit out high value residential and commercial projects.
Current projects are valued up to £125m.
You will run your own projects reporting to a Senior QS or Associate.
THE COMPANY
My client is a successful firm of construction consultants providing Quantity Surveying / Cost Management and MEP Quantity Surveying services across a range of sectors including both building and some infrastructure.
They have three offices, two in the UK and one overseas.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be either an Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager who is working towards taking the APC or you will be recently chartered / MRICS qualified as a Project Surveyor.
You will need to be working for another firm of construction consultants or multi disciplinary consultants in the construction industry.
You must have good experience working for a firm in the U.K.
You must have worked as a QS on projects from feasibility through project delivery and handover.
You will be conversant with all pre and post contract duties.
You must have excellent English to write formal reports and documents.
Salary is negotiable according to your level of experience but will be in the range of £40000 to £55000 per annum plus pension, RICS fees, health insurance, interest free season ticket loan and bonus twice per annum.
