THE ROLE
I am seeking a COMMERCIAL & CONTRACT MANAGER to join a global EPC contractor working on renewable energy projects.
This role will be based at their office in Hampshire with site visits as required.
You will use a range of contracts including NEC / IChemE / FIDIC depending on project.
The role will involve providing support during negotiation of commercial contract conditions, review contracts and draft comments and clauses, support the procurement offices in negotiation of terms with suppliers, deal with commercial arrangements for bank guarantees, supply management etc. plus do assessment or risks, proposing mitigation solutions, identifying and managing claims, drafting of contractual and claims documents, review budgets and cost, support warranty managers etc.
You will be involved with large projects with a lot of industrial plant and you should have commercial and contracts experience both pre and post award.
THE COMPANY
My client is a global firm operating in the renewable energy sector. They generally operate as an EPC contractor.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be a Quantity Surveyor by training and ideally be MRICS qualified with good experience as a Commercial / Contracts / Claims Manager.
Any experience of scheduling would be advantageous.
Previous experience of renewable energy projects or projects involving large industrial plant i.e. refineries / cement works / process plants etc. would be preferred.
You should have significant experience of both commercial and contract management involving some claims identification and management.
Excellent written and spoken English is essential for drafting of contractual and claim documents.
Salary is negotiable in the range of £80000 to £90000 per annum plus car allowance (£500 per month), pension, bonus of 8.5% of salary, life insurance and BUPA.
