THE ROLE
I am seeking a Quantity Surveyor at Project Surveyor or Senior Surveyor level to join a PQS in Cambridgeshire.
Some of the time will be spent in the office and some doing hybrid / remote working as required by the projects.
My client seeks someone who is either MRICS qualified and able to work as a Project Surveyor or Senior Surveyor.
You will work on a good range of projects mainly for high value and complex logistics buildings.
You should be able to run your own projects from feasibility to handover or work as part of a team on larger projects.
THE COMPANY
My client is a successful large firm of construction consultants providing Quantity Surveying / Cost Management and Project Management services across a range of sectors with projects in the UK and occasionally in the EU.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be a Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager in the building construction industry who is ideally MRICS qualified.
You will need to be working for another firm of construction consultants (PQS) or multi disciplinary consultants in the construction industry.
You need to be working as a Project Surveyor or senior level.
You will have a BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar subject.
You must have worked as a QS on projects from feasibility through project delivery and handover.
You will need strong contract administration knowledge in particular in the use of JCT and NEC contracts along with good cost reporting skills.
You will be conversant with all pre and post contract duties.
You must have excellent English to write formal reports and documents.
Salary is negotiable according to your level of experience but in the range of £60000 to £75000 plus RICS fees, pension, discretionary bonus etc.
